Lottery Drawing Database

Description of the Service

We offer our complete lottery drawing database, consisting of over 2,000,000 lottery drawings from 500+ lotteries, from over 100 locales from around the world. Some of this data goes back to 1874.

A list of these lotteries can be found here.

Format of the Data

This data is provided in CSV (Comma Separated Value) format (RFC 4180), where commas separate each field. For example, for a lottery with three numbers, the format would be:

[DRAWING DATE],[NUMBER 1],[NUMBER 2],[NUMBER 3]

The fields are described here:
  • The first field is the date of the drawing, in ISO 8601 (YYYY-MM-DD) format.
  • Subsequent fields are the numbers drawn*.
  • The line terminator is a carriage return (ASCII 13) followed by a linefeed (ASCII 10).
*Please note that for lotteries with one or more bonus balls (for example, Mega Millions or Euro Millions), the bonus ball(s) will be at the end.

Here is an example for Indiana's Cash 5 lottery, drawn on Friday evening, January 1, 2021:
2021-01-01,4,7,18,26,29

This format of data is a form that can easily imported into a spreadsheet or into many lottery programs. For an illustrated, step-by-step tutorial on how to import our datasets into Lotto Sorcerer, please click here.

The lottery results for each locale is distributed in its own folder, named for the locale. If there are spaces in the locale's name, the folder name will have the spaces replaced with the underscore character ("_"). For example, the folder containing the lottery results for the United Kingdom will be called "United_Kingdom".

Each lottery's results are sent as a separate text file, with name of the lottery followed by the file extension of ".csv". All spaces in the filename are replaced with the underscore character ("_").

Here is an example of the filename for Indiana's Cash 5 lottery:
Cash_5.csv

The data will be provided in a "zip" file (extension ".zip"). For instructions on how to "unzip" files back into their original form, using the Windows operating system, please click here. To "unzip" a file on a Mac, just double-click on the "zipped" file.

Availability of the Data

We distribute the data as soon as we can process the order, within normal business hours, usually a few hours upon receipt of the order.

Delivery of the Data

The data is too large to be distributed via email, so you will be emailed a link and a password where the database can be downloaded.

Pricing

Purchased as individual datasets, this entire database would cost over US$1,500, but our regular price is US$600. However, we are currently offering a limited-time sale price of US$300... a 50% savings.
