Description of the Service
We offer datasets of past lottery drawings from 100+ countries, provinces and states from around the world.
A "dataset" is, for the purposes of this service, defined as a "snapshot" of the lottery's results from the earliest date we have for that lottery, up to the most recent drawing for that lottery that we have available.
The list of lotteries covered by this service can be viewed here.
Format of the Data
This data is provided in CSV (Comma Separated Value) format (RFC 4180), where commas separate each field. For example, for a lottery with three numbers, the format would be:
[DRAWING DATE],[NUMBER 1],[NUMBER 2],[NUMBER 3]
The fields are described here:
- The first field is the date of the drawing, in ISO 8601 (YYYY-MM-DD) format.
- Subsequent fields are the numbers drawn*.
- The line terminator is a carriage return (ASCII 13) followed by a linefeed (ASCII 10).
*Please note that for lotteries with one or more bonus balls (for example, Mega Millions or Euro Millions), the bonus ball(s) will be at the end.
Here is an example for Indiana's Cash 5 lottery, drawn on Friday evening, January 1, 2021:
This format of data is a form that can easily imported into a spreadsheet or into many lottery programs. For an illustrated, step-by-step tutorial on how to import our datasets into Lotto Sorcerer, please click here.
Each lottery's results are sent as a separate text file, with name of the lottery followed by the file extension of ".csv". All spaces in the filename are replaced with the underscore character ("_").
Here is an example of the filename for Indiana's Cash 5 lottery:
